When not writing, I spend my time hiking, gardening, photographing nature, and playing soccer. I also work locally to promote better stewardship of our planet.
Writing
The Risk in Crossing Borders, published in 2020, links families from Seattle with a family escaping the Syrian conflict.
Alice’s War, published in 2023, explores the impact of WW2 on ordinary people living in the town of Weymouth, England.
A sequel to Alice’s War is in the works. Alice and grandson, Leo, find themselves in war-ravaged Poland and Czechoslovakia in 1947.
I continue to write on environmental topics and serve as editor of the Pollinator Pathway NW Newsletter.
Where
My wife and I have always lived in the Seattle area.
